What La Cornue Maintenance Covers
A scheduled maintenance visit follows a platform-specific checklist for each La Cornue appliance in your kitchen. On a CornuFé Dual Fuel Range we verify oven temperature calibration across the full cooking range, inspect and clean the gas surface burner assemblies, test the ignition system, inspect the door gasket and hinges, and assess the brass knob fittings for wear. On a Château Gas Range we check the pilot systems (on legacy models), verify gas valve operation, clean the burner ports, and test the thermocouple and thermostat for drift. On a Château Vault Oven we inspect the burner orifice, verify the dome temperature, and check the valve assembly for seal integrity.
Brass and Enamel Care
La Cornue's signature brass hardware is both decorative and functional. Over time, brass fittings can develop minor corrosion or loosening that affects both appearance and performance. During a maintenance visit we inspect every brass component — knobs, handles, hinges, and trim — and assess whether any require professional attention. Gas Appliance Safety Checks
Every gas appliance — range, rangetop, cooktop, or vault oven — receives a manifold pressure check with a calibrated manometer, a visual inspection of every gas connection, and a verification that combustion is producing a clean blue flame. Gas leak detection is performed on every fitting. La Cornue's gas systems are built to exacting French standards, and we verify that they remain within those standards at every maintenance visit.

- CornuFé and Château Ranges: annual maintenance visit, or after 400 cumulative cooking hours
- Vault Ovens: annual visit — the vault burner system rewards regular attention
- Convection Wall Ovens: annual visit, or after 500 cooking hours
